How to Write a Great Assignment for TU, KU and PU

1. Decode the brief

Before writing, read the question twice and underline the command words — analyse, evaluate, compare, discuss. Each demands a different approach. Note the word count, deadline, referencing style and any rubric. Most lost marks come from answering a slightly different question than the one asked.

2. Plan the structure

A clear structure makes your thinking easy to follow and easy to mark:

Introduction: context, your position and what the assignment will cover.
Body: one idea per paragraph, each supported with evidence and explanation.
Conclusion: summarise your argument and its implications — no new points.
References: a complete, correctly formatted list.

3. Use credible sources

Support your points with journals, books and reputable reports rather than random websites. Introduce each source, then explain how it supports your argument. A few well-used sources beat a long list of citations that are never discussed.

4. Reference correctly

Most Nepali university programmes use APA or Harvard. Pick the one your course requires and apply it consistently for both in-text citations and the reference list. 5. Edit before you submit
