Proofreading, Editing and Thesis Formatting in Nepal

If you have already written the draft, you usually need an editor, not a writer. Editing keeps your argument, your data and your voice. It fixes what stands between those and the marker: unclear sentences, chapters that repeat each other, inconsistent references and a layout that breaks the faculty template.

Assignment Nepal edits theses, dissertations, assignments, research papers and journal manuscripts for students at Nepali universities and Nepali students abroad. Every change comes back as tracked changes in your Word file, so you can accept, reject and learn from each one.

We do three levels of work, and you pick the one you need: proofreading for language, editing for structure and argument, and formatting for references and layout. Most theses need all three in the last fortnight. Most assignments need only the first.

What we help with

Plagiarism and AI reports, issued with the work

Similarity and AI writing indicator reports come with every delivery, and we run them on work you wrote yourself too. You get the reports and the explanation, never a bare figure.

We are an independent academic support service, not a university and not a reseller of any detection platform. We run checks and issue the resulting reports; we do not sell access to a detection tool, and we do not sell a way around one.

Not sure if your work has plagiarism? Don't worry. Send it to us.

Tell us what you need checked and when it is due. Your document is checked without being stored in any student-paper repository, so the check never counts against your real submission. The reports come back with what each match means, not just a percentage.

Proofreading, editing or formatting: which one you need

Proofreading is the last pass. It assumes the content and structure are settled and fixes the language. Editing works one level up: it asks whether each paragraph makes one point, whether the chapter's order builds an argument, and whether anything is said twice. Formatting does not touch the words. It makes the document follow the template, from margins and fonts to reference style.

A useful test: if your supervisor's comments are about content ("justify your method", "more critical engagement"), you need editing or a rewrite, and proofreading will not help. If the comments are about presentation ("follow APA", "fix the numbering", "check grammar"), formatting and proofreading are the right fix.

The referencing problems we find most

In Nepali theses the same few problems come up again and again. In-text citations have no entry in the reference list, or the list includes sources never cited. APA 6 and APA 7 are mixed in one document. Nepali government reports are cited inconsistently. Nepali-language sources have no translated title. DOIs are missing where they exist.

We fix these one by one, and if a citation cannot be traced to a real source we flag it rather than make up a plausible entry. Invented references are the fastest way to lose an examiner's trust, and they are easy to check.

Formatting a thesis is slower than it looks

Students tend to leave formatting for the last night, and it is often the step that pushes a submission past the deadline. Automatic tables of contents only work if every heading uses a style. Page numbers in Roman numerals for the front pages and Arabic for the body need section breaks. Landscape tables in the middle of a portrait thesis need their own sections. Figure and table lists need captions inserted properly, not typed by hand.

Setting this up properly also makes the last round of supervisor changes painless, because the contents, numbering and cross-references update themselves. Allow at least three days before submission.

Frequently asked questions

Will editing change my meaning?

No. Proofreading and editing keep your argument and findings. Where a sentence is ambiguous we suggest a rewording in a comment rather than guessing what you meant.

Do you paraphrase text to lower a Turnitin score?

We fix the cause of a similarity flag: missing citations, over-long quotations and paragraphs that follow one source too closely. That usually brings the score down. We will not run text through a paraphrasing tool or rewrite purely to defeat the detector. Our plagiarism removal service covers that work properly.

Can you format my thesis to the TU, KU or PU template?

Yes. Send the faculty's format document. If your department has not issued one, we use the published faculty guideline and tell you which document we followed.

Can you check that my references actually exist?

Yes. Reference verification is part of formatting: every citation is matched to an entry, and entries we cannot locate are flagged so you can replace them.

How long does editing a full thesis take?

Proofreading a 60–80 page thesis usually takes two to four days. Structural editing and full formatting take longer. Tell us your submission date when you ask for a quote.

Is your service confidential?

100%. Your identity and academic work stay completely private and are never shared with your college or anyone else. We use secure, encrypted communication.

How do I get a quote?

Message us on WhatsApp at +977 9768768340 with your assignment brief and deadline, and we'll reply with a transparent quote — usually within a couple of hours.
